LOCAL MAN CHARGED WITH DRUG POSSESSION
A Brenham man has been arrested on drug possession charges.
37-year old Abel Castillo of Brenham was pulled over on a traffic stop, Friday night near North Chappell Hill and Spencer Streets.
During the stop Castillo granted consent to Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer to search the vehicle.
During the search, Marijuana under 2oz and other narcotics were located.
Castillo was arrested for two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance in a Drug Free Zone and Possession of Marijuana in a Drug Free Zone.
Castillo was transported to the Washington County Jail.
