LOCAL POLICE MAKE NUMBER OF POSSESSION ARRESTS

  

Brenham Police made a number of drug possession arrests over the weekend.

Friday night, just before 10:00, Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer conducted a traffic stop in the 2100 block of Highway 290 East.

Dudenhoeffer says he detected the strong odor of marijuana on the driver, 26-year old Christopher Carl Nadack of Leander.

A probable cause search turned up marijuana in the vehicle.

Nadack was charged with Possession of Marijuana.

Sunday afternoon, Cpl. Dudenhoeffer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Highway 290 West and Schulte Blvd.

During the stop, the driver, 46-year old Vera Susanne Butler of Brenham, granted consent to search the vehicle. During the search, various pills and other narcotics were located.

Butler is charged with three counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance. 

Sunday night, around 11:30, 19-year old Juan Jose Guadalupe Aleman was pulled over by Officer Jonathan Phipps on a traffic stop in the 500 block of US Hwy 290 East.

According to Phipps, Aleman admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle and was charged with Possession of marijuana.
