LOCAL SOFTBALL TEAM GOES UNBEATEN AT STATE TOURNEY

The Brenham Spirit Gold girls 14U fastpitch softball team was one of only four unbeaten teams remaining in the VTD Texas State Championship this past weekend in College Station when rain forced cancellation of the tournament.

Based on a formula involving runs scored and runs allowed, Brenham Spirit Gold was awarded third place in the State Tournament.

The team is currently raising funds to travel to the ASA National Tournament in Virginia this summer.
