LOCAL SOFTBALL TEAM QUALIFIES FOR NATIONALS
The Brenham Spirit Gold Fastpitch Softball Team captured 2nd place in the Houston leg of the Texas ASA Challenge Series this past weekend in Katy.
By finishing second overall in the three tournament series played in Dallas, College Station and Houston, Brenham Spirit Gold received one of only five Texas berths in the 14U ASA National Championship Tournament this summer in Roanoke, Virginia.
The team is coached by Roan Eschete, Eddie Marshall, Ron Bartay and Emily Albus.
