LOCAL V.F.W. TO RECOGNIZE ANNIVERSARY OF END OF VIET NAM WAR

The Brenham V.F.W. is set to commemorate anniversary of the end of the Viet Nam War with a get-together Monday afternoon.

The local post is holding the event at the post home on East Tom Green Street.

Local V.F.W. Senior Vice Commander Ben Seeker says Monday is the 41st anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Accord, which effectively marked an end to the Viet Nam War.

Seeker says it’s a day for fellowship among all veterans—but especially those who fought in Viet Nam

Seeker says it’s a chance for the veterans to get together and also to remember those who never made it back home.

The come-and-go commemoration of the Paris Peace Accord will be open from 3-to-5:00 p.m. at the post home at 1200 East Tom Green in Brenham.
