LOCAL WARRANT ARRESTS MADE OVER THE WEEKEND
Brenham Police made several arrests over the weekend on outstanding warrants.
Saturday night, Officer Jose Perez was notified that 42-year old Michael Wayne Mayberry of Houston was seen leaving the Brenham High School graduation.
Mayberry was wanted on a felony warrant out of Washington County for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Mayberry was arrested at the scene.
Sunday night, K9 Officer Andy Adams responded to the 1600 block of Highway 105 to a fight in progress.
During the investigation he discovered that 20-year old Samantha Ray Sanders of Brenham was wanted out of Brazos County for theft, and was placed in custody.
Friday afternoon 56-year old Joyce Mitchell Mathis of Brenham was arrested on a series of warrants.
Mathis was wanted on six active warrants out of Municipal Court. Officer Sierra Newell located Mathis and placed her in custody.
Saturday afternoon, Sgt. Joseph Merkley conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of South Austin St.
Further investigation revealed, 26-year old Victor Hugo Aguilar of Brenham did not have a driver’s license and had three outstanding traffic warrants out of Washington County.
Aguilar was taken into custody.
