MADISON COUNTY INMATE BACK BEHIND BARS
A 37-year-old Madison County inmate is back behind bars after fleeing from the jail Thursday morning.
Jason Garrett was working as a kitchen trustee when he left to take out the trash and fled the jail He made his way to a ranch where he used to work, broke into an office and took a shot gun where he then proceeded shooting into the home before giving himself a gunshot wound to the shoulder. No other injuries were reported.
Garrett now faces felony charges, including aggravated assault, burglary and escape.
