MAIFEST SERENADE TO BE HELD SUNDAY

  

The Brenham Maifest Association will host its Annual Brenham Maifest Serenade to announce the 2015 Maifest Royalty on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the Bobbie Dietrich Amphitheatre in Brenham at 2:00 p.m.

This year will be the 125th year of the Maifest.

The serenade will begin with a concert by the Brenham High School Band to serenade the royalty as they are introduced along with their court themes.

Last year’s Maifest Junior Royalty included Junior Maifest King was Jackson Edward Van Dyke the son of Jarvis and Christy Van Dyke. The Junior Queen was Piper McCall Puckett the daughter of Stephen and Lauri Puckett. They reigned over the court of "Maifest Mystery Madness".

Last year’s Senior Maifest Royalty included Senior King is Caleb Scott Rodenbeck the son of David and Kelly Rodenbeck. The Senior Queen was Caroline Rosemary Webb the daughter of Kirk and Shannon Webb. They reigned over the court of "Celebrations across Texas".

The 2014 Royalty will announce the names of the 2015 Royalty.

Eagle Scouts from Troops 742 and 577 will post the colors, and Girl Scouts from Troop 345 will hand out programs to those attending.

John Moorman will lead the Pledge of Allegiances to the American and Texas Flag and will sing the National Anthem and “God Bless America.”

Giving the invocation will be Pastor Phil Fenton of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

The Serenade will air on KWHI 1280 live with Craig Montana starting at 2pm.
