MAIFEST WEEKEND ACTIVITIES TO BEGIN TODAY
The celebrations for the 126th Maifest are in full swing and are continuing all throughout the weekend.
Today’s (Friday) festivities will include the Junior Maifest Coronation at 7:00pm as well as live bands featuring some of Texas’ talent at 5:30pm and continuing through the evening on Fireman’s Park main stage.
Maifest Board President, Dr. Heather Thielemann says that the excitement of Friday’s activities will roll over into Saturday with more Texas music, activities, as well as the Senior Maifest Coronation at 7:00pm.
Also on Saturday at 10:30am will be the Brenham Maifest parade. It will be a combined parade with both Junior and Senior Maifest Royalty.
KWHI will have live coverage of the parade beginning at 10:00am.
According to Dr.Thielemann, due to Sunday being Mother’s Day, no festivities will take place on that day.
