MAN ACCUSED OF SETTING FIRE IN BRYAN WALMART

  

Bryan police have released a man that they say set fire to some clothing racks at the Briarcrest St. Walmart in Bryan on Wednesday night.

Forty-two year old Robert Crawford, according to the police report, set fire to two clothing racks in the store around 8pm on Wednesday. The store was evacuated, and the fire was extinguished before firefighters arrived.

There were no injuries, and the stores was reopened for Thanksgiving.

Crawford has denied that he started the fires, but did admit to carrying a lighter, and is being charged with Arson, which is a second degree felony, and carries a fine of up to $20,000 and two to twenty years in prison.
