MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT FAMILY VIOLENCE

  

Tuesday morning around 7:50 am, Officer Jonathan Phipps was dispatched to the 800 block of Pleasantview

for a disturbance call.

The caller said she could hear an adult yelling and children crying in the apartment next to hers.

Phipps met with the resident of the apartment next to the caller who said he and his girlfriend were arguing about their children.

The woman had abrasions on her face, and said the male had struck her several time in the face and on top of the head with his fist.

The man, twenty-eight-year old Bruce Bennett Ray of Brenham was charged with Assault/Family Violence and was take to the Washington County Jail.
