MAN CHARGED WITH RESISTING ARREST

  

A LaPorte man is in custody after his arrest on traffic violations.

38-year old Sherrod Kinte Thibodeaux, is charged with Driving While License Invalid with Prior Conviction and Resisting Arrest.

Thursday afternoon, Washington County Dispatch reported a reckless driver that nearly caused several accidents on US Hwy 290 West traveling eastbound.

Authorities located the car and Thibodeaux was arrested for Driving While License Invalid.  After Thibodeaux was placed in the rear seat of Johnson’s patrol unit, he began shouting and kicking the rear passenger window.

Thibodeaux continued to resist efforts in restraining his legs.  Officers were eventually able to restrain him in foot restraints and re-secured him in the patrol unit and transport him to the Washington County Jail.
