MAN FLEES ON FOOT AFTER MOTROCYCLE CHASE ENDS IN LA GRANGE

  

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has caught a man after a motorcycle chase ended with the suspect fleeing on foot.icon-police lights

Around 2:30 a.m. Fayette County dispatchers were notified by Flatonia Police that a motorcycle was refusing to stop on FM 609. The pursuit continued until the suspect wrecked his motorcycle between Business 71 and State Highway 159 in La Grange. The suspect then fled on foot.

While the search was underway, Fayette County Officers observed a suspicious vehicle driving throughout the search area. The Officers believed the vehicle was attempting to locate the suspect as a similar vehicle was seen with the motorcycle in Flatonia prior to the pursuit.

A probable cause search was conducted and police arrested 22-year-old Jacob Matthew Romero, of San Antonio, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Around 7:10 a.m. the Sheriff’s Office received a call about an injured man walking around the Weikel’s parking lot in La Grange. Fayette County EMS arrived at the scene. At that time, Elizondo Christopher Bryan admitted that he was the driver of the motorcycle and that was how he was injured. Bryan was taken to St. David’s Hospital in Austin for treatment.
