MAN GETS 25 YEAR SENTENCES IN WASHINGTON CO. COURT
A College Station man has been sentenced to 25 years after pleading guilty to five separate charges in 21st District Court in Washington County.
30-year old Cory Daniel Martinez of College Station, pleaded guilty to Possession of Controlled Substance, a Third Degree Felony; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility; and, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Martinez was also sentence to 20 years on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance
Martinez was arrested back in November of 2015 and February of 2017.
Also sentenced this week was 19-year old Daniel Hurtado, of Brenham. He was sentenced to three years for Aggavated Assault with Deadly Weapon – a Second Degree Felony.
Hurtado had his probation revoked for his November, 2015 arrest.
He also had his probation revoked for his arrest for Abandon or Endanger a Child-Criminal Negligence. He was sentenced to eight months on that charge.
23-year old Edgar Garza of Navasota, was sentenced to seven months in jail for Theft of Property with 2 or More Previous Convictions.
17-year old Jeremiah R. Mitchel of New Ulm, was placed on 10 years’ probation for Robbery – a Second Degree Felony.
Mitchel was also ordered to perform 250 hours of Community Service.
18-year old Anthony Drekell McGinty of Brenham, was placed on three years’ probation for Credit/Debit Card Abuse.
McGinty was also fined $1500 and ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
