MAN SENTENCED TO 50 YEARS FOR MILAM CO. DEATH

A Belton man who struck and killed a pedestrian while leading police on a high speed chase through Milam County has been sentenced to 50-years in prison.
26-year old John Page Jr, was sentenced Friday, after pleading guilty to first-degree murder.
Page led authorities on a chase in March 2015 that reached speeds up to 120 miles-per-hour. Eventually, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed in Buckholts, hitting and killing local resident Guadalupe Rodriguez.
Page will have to serve half of his sentence before he's eligible for parole.
