MAN WHO KILLED BRYAN COUPLE COMMITS SUICIDE

An Arizona death row inmate—convicted of murdering a Bryan couple in 1991—has apparently committed suicide.
Arizona Department of Corrections officials said 48-year old Gregory Dickens was found dead at a state prison last week.
Dickens was sentenced to death in 1993 for the murders of Bryan and Laura Bernstein.
The 22-year olds from Bryan were robbed at gunpoint before being shot and killed at a rest stop in Yuma. An accomplice in the murders is serving two life sentences.
Bryan Bernstein was a graduate of Bryan High School.
The couple was headed to the University of California at Los Angeles, where both planned to attend graduate school.
