Tim Mantey, the Fire Chief at the Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Captain for the Latium/Wesley/Greenvine Volunteer Fire Department received the award at this weekend’s District Convention.

Mantey was awarded Fire Fighter of the Year for The Latium Wesley Greenvine Volunteer Fire Department at their awards ceremony in January.

After the list of distinguished nominees was reviewed by the Fire Fighter of the Year Committee, comprised of the Past Presidents of the Association, Mantey was voted Fire Fighter of the Year.

He will now be the Districts nominee for the State award, which will be decided next June in Galveston at the state conference.
