MARQEZ BIMAGE COMMITS TO LONGHORNS

Brenham High School senior Marqez Bimage gave a verbal pledge to the Houston Cougars last year and stuck with it, even after receiving offers from bigger programs. However, when Tom Herman left for the Texas Longhorns he decided to reopen his recruiting. After narrowing it down to Baylor and Texas, he was set to visit both schools in the coming weeks. Then on Friday Bimage announced that he knew that he wanted to follow Herman to Austin, saying that Texas was the best fit for him. “I just felt comfortable with the coaches. I have a great relationship them. It’s a great place.” he said.

At 6'3" and 233 lbs. he is listed as an inside linebacker, but could end up as an outside linebacker in the Longhorns new 3-4 defensive scheme. Bimage is the Longhorns 13th commit in the 2017 season.
