McCAUL NAMED TO HOUSE TASK FORCE
Local U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul has been named to a U.S. House task force charged with looking at national security.
House Republicans have formed a half dozen task forces that will look at developing a “progrowth” agenda.
McCaul, the chair of the House’s Homeland Security Committee, was named to a national security committee to develop a strategy and the military capabilities required to confront national security threats of the 21st century.
Republicans announced development of the agenda last month at an issues conference.
The task forces, comprised of committee chairs of jurisdiction, will seek input from all members to ensure their ideas and perspectives are reflected in this agenda.
