MCCAUL RELEASES REPORT ON BOSTON MARATHON BOMBING

  

Local U.S. Congressional Representative Michael McCaul, the Chair of the House Homeland Security Committee has released a ‘bipartisan report on the attack at the Boston Marathon a year ago. 

McCaul, along with Rep. Bill Keating of Massachusetts, says in ‘The Road to Boston: Counterterrorism Challenges, and Lessons from the Marathon Bombing’ details the timeline of the attack and recommendations for improving counter terrorism efforts in the future.

The report provides information on the terrorist networks in the Caucasus, as well as a history of the Tsarnaev Family, particularly the alleged bomber  Tamerlan Tsarnaev.  The report includes a detailed explanation of what information the Committee currently possesses on Tsarnaev’s travels. 

The report also provides an overview of the events of April 15th 2013, and the subsequent manhunt.
