MEMORIAL SERVICES SET FOR TODD MISSION POLICE CHIEF

  

Memorial Services have been set for the Todd Mission Police Chief who died suddenly last Wednesday.

Johnny Martinez, who had served as Police Chief of Todd Mission for two years, died of an apparent heart attack in his office last Wednesday.  Visitation for Martinez will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.  His funeral is set for 11 o’clock Wednesday morning at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.  A public reception honoring Martinez’ life will be held at the Elks Lodge in Bryan Wednesday afternoon following graveside services.

Martinez had been in law enforcement for 26 years, including working at the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and the Lone Star College Police.  He was also head of security at the Texas Renaissance Festival.
