MILESTONE REACHED – CUBS WIN 1500TH GAME IN SCHOOL HISTORY

The Brenham Cubs are a storied franchise in Texas baseball history. Many stars have set foot on the diamond at Fireman's Park and last night those memories flooded the minds of everyone who witnessed something that no other school in Texas had accomplished, reaching 1500 wins in their history. At the Baseball Capital of Texas, the Cubs defeated Hunstville last night 6-1, moving the Cubs to 13-5 on the season, and an undefeated 6-0 in District play.

On the mound Dane Acker got the win, going 5 strong innings, giving up 3 hits and no runs. At the plate the Cubs were paced by Hunter Avila, Chandler Jozwiak, and Dane Acker who garnered 2 hits each.  Up next the Cubs will be on the road to face Magnolia with 1st place in the district on the line. Magnolia is also undefeated in district play this season after beating Willis on Friday night. That game is set for Tuesday night, first pitch at 7:00, pregame at 6:40 on KWHI and KWHI.com.
