MISSISSIPPI MAN ARRESTED IN FAYETTE COUNTY AFTER EVADING ARREST

  

A Mississippi man was arrested Tuesday around 6:00pm in Fayette County after law enforcement received a call of an armed male driving.

45 year old David Bradford Roberts of Pearl, Mississippi was arrested and charged with Family Violence Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Evading Arrest with a Motor Vehicle.

Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that information was received that the male had just held family members at gunpoint, but were able to run off from the armed man. The male left the rest area driving north on US Hwy 77.

Local law enforcement located the black Lincoln Navigator on US Hwy 77. The driver of the car failed to stop for law enforcement and a pursuit developed through the City of La Grange, traveling north on US Hwy 77. The driver finally came to a stop near St. Mark’s Medical Center.

Law Enforcement recovered two pistols, a shotgun and an AR rifle from the car.
