MONTGOMERY COUNTY MAN ARRESTED AFTER CHASE

  

A Montgomery County man faces multiple charges after his arrest by Brenham Police, Saturday night.

Cpl. Steven Eilert was notified about a reckless driver heading towards the city limits on Highway 290.

The caller said the driver was swerving all over the roadway and could be seen drinking.

Eilert located 25-year old Ethan Crockett Jeanes at the 500 block of Highway 290 East.  Jeanes reportedly failed to stop until they were in the 500 block of US 290 west, approximately one mile from the initial contact.

Eilert says Jeanes stumbled as he exited the vehicle, and had to use the side of his truck for balance.

During a search of his vehicle, officers found an open container of alcohol.

At the jail, Sgt. Curtiss Schoen says a bottle of synthetic urine was also found in Jeanes’ vehicle.

He is charged with Third Offense Driving while intoxicated, with an open container, a class 3 felony; false drug test falsification device and fleeing an officer.
