MOORE PLEADS GUILTY TO TWO ADDITIONAL ROBBERIES

Brandon Moore, age 28, was convicted of two additional counts Aggravated Robbery today after pleading guilty to both charges. As a result, Moore was sentenced to 30 years in prison on the additional counts.

Moore was previously convicted by a Brazos County Jury of the Aggravated Robbery of Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. As a condition of his plea agreement, Moore agreed to waive all his appeals, including his appellate rights in the Pepe’s Aggravated Robbery trial.

Moore was arrested for the robberies on January 7, 2014 in Washington County.

The subsequent robbery charges arose out of the January 5, 2014 robberies of the Oaks Food Mart on 29th Street and the Ready 2 Go convenience store on South College, in Bryan. Those stores were both robbed at gunpoint following the Pepe’s robbery.

During the previous trial, they jury heard evidence of Moore’s involvement in all three robberies.

Because of the nature of the offense, Moore will have to serve half of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
