MOORMAN ELECTED TO SECOND ACTEC TERM

Hal Moorman, partner in the Brenham law firm of Moorman Tate Haley Upchurch & Yates, LLP, was recently elected to a second 3-year term as a Regent of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (“ACTEC”). ACTEC is a national, non-profit association of lawyers whose members are elected to the College by demonstrating the highest level of integrity, commitment to the profession, and competence and experience as trust and estate counselors. Mr. Moorman has been a member of ACTEC since 1995.  He served as the Texas state chair from 2009-2013 and was first elected as an ACTEC Regent in 2012.

The Board of Regents consists of 39 members elected by the Fellows.  Mr. Moorman is the only Texan serving on the Board.Hal Moorman is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and in Texas Monthly Super Lawyers, is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Estate Planning and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

The law firm of Moorman Tate Haley Upchurch & Yates, LLP recently celebrated 60 years of continuous service to the citizens of Brenham, Washington County and the surrounding area.
