MORE CHANGES AT BLINN

  

Blinn College President Harold Nolte is continuing his re-organization of the Colllege.
Dr. Nolte three new assistant deans for the Division of Science, Engineering and Math.

With these new hires, Blinn has not named 12 assistant deans with 144 years of experience at Blinn College.
The new assistant deans are Dr. Lee Don Bienski, Grady Hendricks and Max Hibbs.
Dr. Bienski has been a Blinn faculty member since 2001, when he joined the college the Natural Science Department. He has a PhD from Texas A&M. Grady Hendicks also joined the Blinn staff 13 years ago when he began teaching in the Physics Department. Max Hibbs has been with Blinn since 2000. He has served as Blinn Professionals Association Vice President. He has taught in the math division since 2010. Hibbs has a Math from Oklahoma State.
The College has previously named Deborah Vavra and Craig Jeffrey as assistant deans for Visual and Performing Arts, John Schaeffe and Amy Winningham for humanities, Jennifer Garcia, Bryn Behnke and David Cockran for Business, Agriculture and Kinesology, and Dr. Mary Barnes Tilley and Brandon Franke for Social Sciences.

The Assistant Deans will have home campuses but will serve all campuses district wide. They will provide assistance and leadership to the academic deans in developing and maintaining curriculum and programs. Assistant Deans will promote activities, strategies and processes that prepare students for success while meeting the requirements of all internal and external accreditation entities. They will also help lead their division in planning, development, implementation and evaluations.
