A member of Blinn College’s Board of Trustees has announced he’ll run in the May elections.

Charles Moser

Charles Moser has announced he will run for election to the At-Large post he was appointed to 18 months ago.

Moser retired after 40 years as editor of the Brenham Banner Press in 2010.

Moser says he and his fellow board members have developed a close working relationship with Blinn’s administration over the past months, which he says has resulted in actions that will serve the college well in the future.

Moser cites what he calls “significant decisions” that have come about in the last year-and-a-half, due to “cooperative leadership of the board and administration.”

In particular, Moser referred to the “cooperative effort with Texas A&M” which he says, “will result in a $30-million classroom facility built on the new RELLIS campus being developed by Texas A&M.”

He also referred to the board’s close working relationship with Texas A&M to expand workforce programs and the construction of the new 400-unit student housing and new student activity center on the Brenham campus.

In 2010, Moser retired after 40 years as editor/publisher of the Brenham Banner Press and serves as a consultant to Moser Community Media, owned by his son, Jim.
