MOUNT ROSE CHURCH TO ESTABLISH TIME CAPSULE

  

The Mt. Rose Missionary Baptist Church is celebrating its 150^th anniversary by jumping forward another 50 years.

The youth of the church are establishing a time capsule that will be opened in 50 years, in 2068.  Youth and church leaders are placing personal notes to themselves and others in the capsule, as well as historical documents such as photos, popular church music, the 150^th church anniversary program, and copies of local and national news media.

The 150^th anniversary program will take place on September 9^th.  Other upcoming activities include a Juneteenth celebration on June 16^th and a community-wide anniversary dinner on August 25^th.
