MSC OPAS ANNOUNCES 2018-19 LINEUP
Tickets for the 2018-19 MSC OPAS season are now available to purchase.
The group announced on Tuesday that this season will follow the theme “Raise your Voice.” The lineup of performances includes several Broadway classics, as well as one show making its American debut. OPAS will open the first US tour of “Choir of Man” on October 2.
This 46th season of performances includes six events on the Ann Cobb Wiatt Main Stage series, five events on the Intimate Gatherings series, and three Special Events. For the Main Stage Series, classics such as “The Sound of Music” and “The King and I” will feature alongside two new musicals, “Something Rotten” and “Finding Neverland.”
The Intimate Gatherings series will showcase “The Capitol Steps”, “Steel Magnolias”, “Frankenstein”, “Red Hot Chilli Pipers”, and “Lonesome Traveler”.
Finally, the three special events will include a concert of John William’s selections by the Boston Pops, the Soweto Gospel Choir, and Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium Adventure.
The group begins its Main Stage series at Rudder Theatre in College Station on October 2, with the Intimate Gatherings series beginning October 11. Ticket packages start at $110. For more information on how to purchase tickets, visit www.mscopas.org.
