NANCY CAROL ROBERTS LIBRARY THRIVING IN NEW FACILITY

It has been just over two months since the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library reopened in Brenham and librarian Andria Heiges says the new facility is thriving.

Heiges says there has been a huge increase in visitors to the library:

The new library offers some of the very latest in technology and has Chromebook computers that match what students and staff use at Brenham ISD. Heiges says they are seeing a lot of use of the library’s new computers:

The modernized library features a large central room surrounded by smaller rooms. There is also a new children’s area, a genealogy room, and a large program room for meetings and presentations. Heiges says the new areas allow them to host a number of different events each week for both adults and children, however the biggest influx they’ve seen is in teenage visitors:

A full list of weekly events can be found on the city of Brenham’s website at cityofbrenham.org/library.
