NATIONAL NIGHT OUT TUESDAY

  

Dozens of block parties throughout Washington County Tuesday night celebrated Texas’ version of National Night Out.

This year’s theme was The Wild West, as citizens got out and met their neighbors and local authorities.

The Brenham Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, local firefighters and other law enforcement and emergency personnel were out and about, attending neighborhood block parties from 6-9 p.m., Tuesday night.

KWHI’s Craig Montana and KTEX’s Cactus Ken were out attending neighborhood parties, as well.

National Night Out originated in 1984 as a way for citizens to “take back their neighborhoods” from crime.
