A FLOOD WARNING is in effect for Austin, Brazos, Grimes, Waller, and Washington counties until 11:45 am, and for Houston and Trinity counties until 12:00 pm.
A FLASH FLOOD WATCH is in effect for Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison, Montgomery, Houston, San Jacinto, Trinity, Walker, Waller, & Washington counties until 4pm.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are slowly moving through this morning with hourly rainfall rates reaching 2-3 inches at times. While a few strong storms could bring thunder, lightning, and strong winds -- the main concern will be flash flooding.
