NAVASOTA GALLERY OPEN FOR BUSINESS

Navasota is now home to a new home for fostering creativity.

The Gallery Downtown is a nearly 8,000 square foot building where patrons can relax and take a look at local art, or pick up a brush and create their own art.

Most of the art at The Gallery is for sale and changes out periodically.  They also have weekly walk-in painting classes that are open to people of any artistic skill level.

The walk-in classes are on Saturdays, anytime between noon and 5:00 p.m.

Prices for the walk-in classes range from $20 to $40 depending on what size canvas you choose. There is a theme each week, but you do not necessarily have to paint something within the theme.

There is also a wine glass painting class held the last Wednesday of each month. That class is $35 and includes a wine glass fo to paint.

The Gallery Downtown is located at 101 E. Washington Avenue in Navasota.

For more information or to sign up for a painting class, visit their website.

  1. Brenham Main Street Supervisor this is a great idea. Why don’t you utilize the old city hall site like this? Plant a few trees. Put down a few sidewalks. Displayers can bring their own awnings. This would bring people and would hardly cost the city squat. The possibilities are endless. This proves that this open space is more useful as open space !!!!!’
