A 23-year-old Navasota man has been sentenced to 35 years in prison after pleading guilty to armed robbery of two College Station convenience stores back in July of last year.

Karvin Cleo Steptoe was convicted of three counts of aggravated robbery and one charge of evading arrest. As part of Steptoe's plea agreement, two pending counts of aggravated robbery were dismissed.

According to College Station police, Steptoe and another man, 21-year old Kesnick Ugene Jones—also of Navasota, held clerks at gunpoint at the stores during the robberies.

Jones pleaded guilty to three counts of armed robbery in April and was sentenced to 27 years in prison.
