NAVASOTA MAN JAILED FOR SHOOTING AT POLICE OFFICERS
A Navasota man is in the Grimes County Jail, under as $1.5 million bond, after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and barricading himself inside his home Saturday night./
Thirty-year old Kenneth James Griggs is facing numerous charges including firing at least two shots at police officers when they came to his mobile home.
Grigg’s girlfriend told a Texas Department of Public Safety trooper that he assaulted her.
The College Station SWAT team., the Navasota police department and DPS troopers descended on the mobile home, beginning a standoff that ended at 9:35pm Saturday.
Griggs is charged with aggravated assault on a public servant, a first degree felony that could put him in prison for the rest of his life, assault causing bodily injury, and making terroristic threats.
