A Navasota man has been sentence to 35-years in prison following a guilty plea to his fourth DWI charge.

55-year old Ruben Maldonado was arrested in October of 2014 following a crash and hi-speed chase in the city of Bryan.

A DPS Trooper eventually caught up with Maldonado at Highway 6 and Nantucket in south College Station following a chase that reached speeds over 100 miles per hour.  The Trooper’s investigation revealed that Maldonado was driving with a blood alcohol concentration of .205, over twice the legal limit.

No injuries occurred as a result of the crash.

Maldonado had three prior convictions for DWI which ultimately resulted in his being sentenced to prison.

Maldonado was also sentenced to prison for possession of large amounts of narcotics back in 2008.
