NAVASOTA WOMAN ADMITS TO KILLING UNCLE

  

A Navasota woman has confessed to the beating death of her uncle, Monday.

According to KBTX-TV, 35-year old Romeka Jewel Conley, who has been arrested numerous times on assault charges, admitted to police she beat 63-year old Panky Freeman to death because he had “gotten out of line.”

Navasota Police were called to Freeman’s home, Monday morning, where they found his dead body.

Conley, who lived with Freeman at the home, was arrested a short time later at a nearby grocery store.

According to police, Conley told them as she was being arrested, “It was me, Romeka Conley.  No one else was in the house.”

Neighbors gathered outside Freeman’s home Tuesday evening for a candlelight vigil.

According to KBTX, Conley, who also goes by the name of Romeka Jewel King, has been arrested multiple times in Brazos County. She was arrested in 2012, 2006, and 2001 on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
