NAVSOTA I.S.D. TO USE T.A.S.B. IN SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH

navasota-isd-featureThe Navasota ISD board of trustees has voted to use the Texas Association of School Boards services in its search for a new superintendent.

Former superintendent Rory Gesch announced his resignation in July.  Ray Matthews has been serving in an interim basis since.

At their meeting last week, the board reviewed the proposals from five companies before opting to choose TASB.

According to the board members, they were impressed with the presenters’ assurance that the board would be able to review all applicants and the extent of TASB’s connections within every district in Texas.

TASB’s price tag of $6,500 covers all advertising expenses and fees, excluding the travel expenses of the final three candidates for secondary interviews.
