NEW CHURCH BOOSTS NOVEMBER BUILDING PERMITS

  

Construction on a new worship facility  in Brenham helped boost the city's building permits issued in November to over $2 million.

Nineteen permits were issued in the city of Brenham last month, totaling $2,072,468.

That number brings the total balance for this year to $44,980,514. The amount is well ahead of last year’s pace of $42,908,046.

The single largest permit issued was for construction of a worship facility for Abiding Word Lutheran Church for $1,433,163. The new church will be located at 464 Oak Tree Crossing Drive in Brenham. A groundbreaking ceremony will happen this Sunday at 1:30 p.m. for the new facility, weather permitting.

Also issued was a $125,000 permit for Westbrook Storage to add a storage building. Sho Gun 19 Enterprises Corps was issued a $200,000 permit for an internal remodel of a restaurant.
