NEW DETENTION CONTROL SYSTEM NEEDED AT COUNTY JAIL

The Washington County Commissioners approved going out for bids for a new Detention Control System for the County Jail.  The current system, installed in 1992, controls the locks on the inmate’s cells and is obsolete.  County Sheriff Otto Hanak explains:

County Judge John Brieden said the commissioners decided to go out for bids now instead of waiting for next year’s budget due to the urgency and importance of the system.  Bids for the Detention Control System will be opened on July 31st and possibly awarded by the commissioners on August 8th.
