NEW MURAL UNVEILED IN PEDIATRIC AREA AT BRENHAM CLINIC

The Brenham Clinic unveiled the new mural in the pediatric waiting area Thursday.  Clinic Administrator Melisa McCune said that the wall paintings in that area were about 20 years old and needed replacing.  She said they started getting bids from mural painters, but they were well over the clinic’s budget.  That is when the Brenham Fine Arts League found out about the project and offered their help.  For the past several months, 20 different artists have put in over a combined 1000 hours to produce the four mural scenes.  Each of the four walls that was painted depicts a different part of the world at a different time of the day.  The Brenham Fine Arts League also produced and donated a coloring book that asks questions about the creatures pictured in the murals.

The artists who painted the murals and the Clinic Pediatricians and their children pose for a photo during the unveiling ceremony.
