NEW BRENHAM ISD LOGOS PRESENTED TO THE COMMUNITY

New Superintendent of the Brenham ISD Dr. Walter Jackson continues to present his suggestions for the school district, this time by presenting new logos that he hopes will show the district in an updated, 21st century light to the rest of the country.

Two new logos have been designed. They may be used for print and digital media. The new logo colors represent:

Green: Pride for the Brenham Cubs and Cubettes

Blue: Growth as seen in the Brenham Bluebonnets

Gold: Vision

Excellence: For all Brenham ISD students.

While Dr. Jackson is not replacing the much-beloved logos already in use, such as the "paw" and the "cub" logos, with the district, he hopes to use these new logos as a way to attract not only potential new students and families to Brenham and Brenham ISD, but also to highlight the accomplishment already reached in the district.

Dr. Jackson wants all segments of the community to feel welcomed at the school district, from millennials to “Old Brenham,” and wants Brenham and Brenham ISD shown in the best light possible.

  1. the logos look great. nothing wrong with getting modern. and I don’t see a boob. youre imagination is something is lady liberty. get over it already.

  2. Change isn’t always a bad thing. That being said after a quick google search of texas school district logos this one looks poor. They can do better than that. And if this is the biggest concern with BrenhamISD we are in good shape.Though I feel there are more important issues to resolve first.

  3. by all means, make it more green to reflect Brenham’s rich Irish hertiage,,,
could put a few shamrocks in there, too! Go cubs

  4. Needs some work !!! Needs more ” CUB GREEN “. Cut out the Blue & Gold, and,
add more KELLY GREEN !!! We’re the BRENHAM CUBS, not, Notre dame !! GO CUBS !!

  5. Good grief…It’s just a logo. I think it looks great…but I agree, it could use a little bit more Kelly Green…very modern and updated! Good job Dr. Jackson…and welcome to Brenham!

  6. If you look at other school logos in texas you will find numerous others that look VERY similar to the ones presented by Dr. Jackson. BISD had an original logo unlike any other in the state! It displayed our lovely bluebonnets and proclaimed Brenham ISD as the first public school district in texas. Also, this logo was not free and it is going to continue to cost the district money. Think of all the items that will now need to be printed and/or changed! There will be letterhead and stamps and new vehicle decals just to name a few! We were original, now we look just like everyone else!

  7. Change is not always bad!! I agree Randy the formats are great but to much blue, need more Brenham Cub green . As the article states these logos will not replace our be-loved logos as the “paw’ or the “cub” but rather will be used for printing and media. I feel sorry for those that think the only time changes need to be made is if it’s broken, sometimes changes make what’s good better and what’s better the best.

  8. Ewww! I hate it! What’s wrong with keeping it the way that it is?
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”

  9. B for boob. I have to stretch my imagination to see a child in the star, but I don’t have to squint OR tilt my head to see that it’s a blatant boob. BISD should ask for their money back on that one.

  10. The formats of the two logos is great. Only one thought is that the seal does not have enough Kelly Green in it. How would it look if the inner cirlce was green as the arch over Texas is? Or are there other ways to incorporate more of Brenham’s colors. Class of 1973.

  11. OMG! This is awful! Change is not good! Next thing they will want to get rid of the daisy chain. What will happen next?
