NINE TONS OF BATTERIES STOLEN

  

Brenham Police are investigating the theft of nearly nine tons of vehicle batteries.

Wednesday afternoon, Officer Jonathan Phipps met with a complainant in the lobby of the Police Department.

The man said sometime between May 28 and June 3, someone stole approximately 18,000 pounds of vehicle batteries.

The batteries had been kept behind a fence and were not operational. The estimated cost of the batteries was $3,000.

    1. Meth?!? I hope it’s not so some crazy person who could potentially be making explosives on a grand scale! That is my worry, but then again, I have a very vivid imagination!
