NORTH PARK SCHEDULED TO BE CLOSED FOR REPAIRS SOON
Residents who utilize North Park Street near Hohlt Park shouldn’t panic when they see signs stating that the road will be closed next week, at least not yet. TxDOT has placed signs on North Park stating that the road will be closed to thru traffic February 12th through 14th. They have repairs scheduled for the bridge over Little Sandy Creek next to Hohlt Park, but the time frame has change since the signs went up. Brenham Public Works Director Dane Rau said that he was told by TxDOT engineers today (Tuesday) that the contractor doing the repairs is now rescheduling the work for a future weekend due to the heavy traffic on the roadway during the week. The date for the repairs have not been set, but Rau said it would be a Friday through Sunday time period. Calls to the Brenham TxDOT office for more information were not returned Tuesday afternoon.
