NOVEMBER WASHINGTON COUNTY UNEMPLOYMENT RATE SHOWS MINIMAL INCREASE

  

The November unemployment rate for Washington County showed a slight increase from October.

The unemployment rate in the area came in at 5.4 percent, up 2 tenths of a percent from October’s rate of 5.2 percent, and up 1.5 percent from November 2014 rate of 3.9 percent.

For Austin County, the November unemployment rate came in at 4.8 percent, which is down .01 percent from October’s rate of 4.9 percent, and up .08 percent from November 2014 rate of 4.0 percent.

For Burleson County, the November unemployment rate is 4.6 percent, up one tenth of a percent from October’s rate of 4.5 percent, and up 7 tenths of a percent from November 2014 rate of 3.9 percent.

For Grimes County, the November unemployment rate is 5.8 percent, up 4 tenths of a percent from October’s rate of 5.4 percent, and up 1.6 percent from November 2014 rate of 4.2 percent.
