ONE ARRESTED ON POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE CHARGE

  

One person has been arrested on Possession of a Controlled Substance.

On Sunday, around 6:46am, Cpl. Lance Weiss was called out to the Nathan’s Barbecue parking lot at 1309 Prairie Lea St on a welfare concern.

Weiss observed a 2003 Dodge Intrepid in the middle of the parking lot, and when he approached the vehicle, he could detect the smell of alcohol.

Weiss administered a Field Sobriety Test to 31-year-old Michael Kelly Burke, Jr of Santa Fe.

Found on the front seat of the vehicle was a tool bag with a clear plastic bag believed to methamphetamines.

Weiss seize possession of the meth and took Burke to the Washington County Jail charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.
