INDIANA MAN KILLED IN 290 ACCIDENT THURSDAY

  

An Indiana man is dead after a two-vehicle accident early this (Thursday) morning, about a-mile-and-a-half west of Brenham.

Authorities were called out shortly after 6:30 this morning to the 4100 block of Highway 290 West.

One person is reported dead following the collision in which a 2000 Chevy pick-up collided with a tractor-trailer.

According to the Department of Public Safety, the pickup was east-bound on 290, when the driver, identified as 22-year old Edgar Marin of Goshen, Indiana, switched lanes and rear-ended the tractor-trailer.

The Brenham Fire Department was called to the scene for an entrapment.

According to authorities, Marin was killed on impact and was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Kendall.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating the accident.

  1. This happened directly in front of our bunk house where we were staying on vacation at the time. I stood and watched while responders did their jobs. Everyone on that scene was very respectful of the situation and privacy for this young man. Back home in Colorado now I have been wondering who had lost their life that day. So sad such a young man, God bless all involved. Thank you for your reporting
