ONE KILLED IN PLANE CRASH IN LEE COUNTY

  

 

A former Galveston County Sheriff’s deputy was killed in a plane crash in Lee County near Giddings after leaving from Hooks Airport in Spring on Sunday morning.

Sixty-three year old Daniel Disbrow of Magnolia, was heading to Austin when the plane went down.

Disbrow was a Galveston County Sheriff’s deputy from 1976 to 1988

The plane was owned by a company named Aerial Viewpoint, which is aerial photography business. The owner, Grady Evans, said that the plane was being moved from Spring to Austin to do an aerial surveying project when it went down.

Disbrow had been an employee at Aerial Viewpoint since the mid-1990's.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating, along with the FAA and DPS.
