One person was arrested Sunday on a charge of driving a stolen vehicle.

According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, on Sunday, Deputy Yasmine Alfaro, while on routine patrol checked the registration on a Dodge Ram pickup truck that was traveling on Texas 36 North.

Deputy Alfaro learned the license plates, issued to a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck, had been reported as stolen in Killeen.

Deputy Alfaro stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as 35 year old Killeen resident Tiffani Rachelle Woods. Woods claimed the vehicle was owned by her brother and denied having knowledge that the license plates were stolen.

A criminal check indicated Woods had an active theft warrant issued in Bell County.  Further investigation into the vehicle detained by Deputy Alfaro indicated the vehicle had also been determined to be stolen in Killeen.

Woods was arrested and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a felony, and was being held on Killeen Police Department charges.

Woods bonds totaled $7750.00 and she remains in custody.
